Residential
House Nerezi
Skopje, North Macedonia
Above the City
The walls are rendered and the openings few, and the one large window is placed where the city appears rather than where the plan suggests. That decision is the one the rest of the scheme is measured against, and it is the reason the plan resolves as simply as it does.
“The scheme is a house on the Nerezi ridge, drawn to sit quietly against a much older skyline. Everything we drew after that was in service of it.”
